Missionbeat provides rapid response crisis intervention, on street support, welfare assistance, case management and post housing support to the rough sleepers and street dwellers of Sydney. The iconic vans are a constant street presence undertaking patrol observations and on street engagements with the most vulnerable in our community. Missionbeat patrol provides immediate on street support to access food, shelter and medical care, assisting and conveying people to safety and support. Missionbeat Case Workers provide support including referral to specialist support, accommodation and housing whilst Missionbeat Aftercare provides ongoing support to stabilise people into housing and their new community.

Who we assist

Missionbeat has been serving Sydney's homeless for over 40 years. Missionbeat vans respond to calls from individuals seeking assistance, members of the public seeking assistance for others, community agencies, local government, police, ambulance, and other government departments. For each individual Missionbeat can provide appropriate on street support, assisting and conveyance to safety or necessary support, case management or specialist referral.

Eligibility criteria

We assist those who are homeless and sleeping rough. We also assist those who are currently engaged with homelessness support case management.
