Community Kinship Program Educator will provide a key service contact point for informal kinship carers in the North West of Tasmania. This will be an opportunity for carers and service providers to assist them navigate through the service system. This will also enhance access to support and advice and coordinate and oversee cases to assist informal kinship carers with advice, practical support and referrals as well as advocacy and education within government and the general community. The service will also provide an ongoing networking with relevant stakeholders and raise the awareness of informal kinship carers and support the delivery of community campaigns to remove the stigma and normalise informal kinship care.
